Recently, we began work on a golf simulator, opting for the Optoma ZH350 ST – Short Throw Laser Projector. We chose this model primarily because of its laser light source, which offers several advantages. The Optoma operates more quietly and generates less heat, making it particularly well-suited for this application.
Additionally, the laser lamp helps increase the frame refresh rate—a significant benefit in this context.
It’s worth noting that these advantages aren’t exclusive to the Optoma. Any projector with a laser light source, such as models from Vivitek, Epson, or Panasonic, offers similar benefits compared to their lamp-based counterparts.

Its larger format frame size makes it ideal for venues like houses of worship or school halls. With a brightness of 4,200 ANSI lumens, it’s also perfect for sports bars or a lively home theatre, whether you’re watching the rugby at 5 pm or enjoying a late film.
